i just wanted to post here and say that we haven't fallen off the face of the Earth, we've just been so busy getting the store ready for the holidays that we haven't had time to post!

i realize that you're probably being bombarded with sale and event promos, so i'm not going to bark at you like a carney caller. i'll just say it, right here, and then i'll only say it a couple times on the twitters, ok?

The mascots are buy 1 get 1 free until December 1st.
After that, the store will have free shipping until January 4th.

i got a cool muffin tin for Midsomer! :D
it's jungle/savanah animals. rhino, lion, giraffe, elephant, hippo, monkey, and a whale and a clown fish thrown in for species representation.

obviously, i did some unusual colors.
though, don't black rhinos actually exist? i thought they did. anyway, that's not the point of this post.
the point of this post is to say :: would you like to test out my chalk? (or would your little ones like to?) yeah? then please leave me a way to contact you in the comments. i'd love to send 1 or 2 (or all) of the chalks pictured to someone/someone's kidlets to play with.

i'm not asking for any dollars, not even shipping, since these are the first ones i made in this shape and they are, by far, not up to snuff. after all, the clownfish isn't as thick as the others, and they all have lots of bubbles showing up.

i have discovered.... how to make chalk.
as in, sidewalk chalk.
as in, the stuff you used to write and draw on the ground with when you were little.

and i'm making it in rainbows. of course. :D

because if your chalks aren't a rainbow, yer doin' it wrong. ;D

the chalks are about 1oz each, and come in 6 colors right now. red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. they'll be sold in sets of six for $1O.OO, and will be up for ordering just as soon as i get the packaging in for them. they'll be in clear boxes, possibly wrapped in white tissue (if i discover they need it. they probably won't.), with a bunch of blue and orange ribbon curled and tied on. :D

if you're interested in some chalk, and don't want to wait for the fancy packaging, just let me know. i'd be more than happy to send you some chalk in the mail. :D

how do you feel about sidewalk chalk?

i love it, myself. and i think i'd be fun to make and sell sidewalk chalk.
i'm thinking that, instead of just the regular tube shapes, i might get some candy moulds and maybe some cool-shaped silicon ice cube moulds and have shapes.

i'm thinking... a little bucket of sea shapes to go with an octopus or a whaleshark or a stingray, some flowers to go with a turtle or an elephant... that sort of thing.
