why "theplushiefoundry"? i don't get it.
We named our business theplushiefoundry for a couple of reasons.
First, because we thought our plushies were so cute that they had personalities. Second, since something that has a personality is "alive" in a sense, we felt that saying you were "adopting" a companion sounded better than saying that you were "buying" a companion. After all, buying a companion is illegal in many countries.
Adoptees were once called orphans, and another word for an orphanage is a foundry. Orphans were once called foundlings, you see, because the staff would ~find~ them on the steps of the building.
We liked the idea, and decided to run with it. We hope you like our "foundlings".

We ship from the local post office in Columbus, Ohio in the United States.
There's a coupon on your cards. how do i redeem it?
The way our coupon codes work right now, you just put the code in the notes when you check out and we'll refund the amount off to you. Unfortunately, since we use paypal's cart system, we can't have traditional coupons. don't worry, you'll still get to use your coupon code, we promise!
may i have a refund, please?
Refunds are generally not offered on adoption fees, unless there was some major screw up on the part of The Foundry. This means that if you've simply changed your mind about the adoption, you WILL NOT be getting your money back.
Exchanges are not generally offered, however, if something terrible happens to your new baby, you can send them back to us here at The Foundry, and we will do our very best to repair them. If we cannot repair your baby, we will make you a new one and send them out to you, free of charge.

absa-tively we do! we love foreign countries, and our adoptees love them too. :D
how long will it take to get my new friend?
All of theplushiefoundry's adoptees are sent out via USPS. Insurance is only offered on the marionettes, due to their fragile nature.
Adoptees are taken to the Post Office the business day AFTER adoption fees have been received.
This means that, generally, orders placed within the contiguous U.S. will recieve their new adoptee in less than a week.
Orders places outside the contiguous U.S. will take longer, with orders to Italy and Canada taking the longest, at a month or longer. (why a country that is just next door takes as long as one halfway around the world is anyone's guess, really. °~°-p )

theplushiefoundry regrets to inform you that we have 2 cats here, and while they aren't allowed to play in the supplies, it's very hard to police pet dander. if you're severely allergic, then sadly, our companions might make you sneezy. sorry.
