these scopes are made of cardboard tubes, creativity, imagination, and a lot of giggling!
the kaleidoscopes would be stationary, with mylar reflectors inside to create the fancy images we're all used to seeing. the telescopes can be stationary or collapse to about half their expanded size. they're perfect for a pirate going on a voyage, or even harriet the spy! and they come in a box for safe keeping!
ingredients :: whatever your little heart desires (within reason! :P )
the telescopes can actually be semi-functional. the lenses are made of domed shrinkydinks and plastic watch lenses. in the one pictured, we used frosted shrinky dinks, and simulated a night sky on the inside. if you'd like a simulated view, just say so! we can even print photos and shrink them.
