The Common Yellow Chocobo

The Chocobo, in it's Natural Habitat, is a mysterious and beautiful animal, resplendant in his golden, crested feathers, and beautiful tail plumage. his soft, felt-like beak is beautifully colored, and obviously well cared for. some scientists think that the beak is so carefully kept clean so as to attract a mate. his long legs are strong and muscular, to support both his weight and that of his rider.
i think he keeps his nose clean because no one likes dirt on their nose. he's pictured here in his pen, posing for some beauty shots. his saddle and bridle are not shown, but he does come with them, so that once he's gotten used to your family, you can give chocobo rides.
he is ~32" tall, and made with LOTS of yellow feathers, styrofoam balls in 3 sizes, and strung on monofilament. his feathers are attatched with tacky glue and staples (on his neck). his legs are made of pleather belting and felt padding. his toes are sculpey clay, and he comes with 1 extra (in case disaster should strike and he breaks a nail!)
his beak is felt, with a wire framework, and is stuffed with polyfill. his eyes are solid black doll eyes.
there are pins that have been left in the chocobo's legs, for structural reasons. they are glued in place, but please be careful all the same. due to the nature of marionnettes, we don't reccommend use by very young children.
