what are common children's names?

i'm hoping to get my "spell out kid's names in plush" off the ground soon, and i want to have some names pre-done.

i'm thinking 4 names pre-done.
2 girlie, and 2 boyish.

so, what are some common girlie names?
anne? meredith? jennifer? (probably)

and some common boyish names?
michael? (probably) john, jacob, robert?

i'd love to have common names from other cultures as well.
i come from a white-bread anglo-saxon culture in the midwest of america.
so common names for me are michael and jennifer and rachel and john.

so what are common names for you/your culture?
tell me, i wanna know! :D
